The beautifully designed "Pix White" lamp by Normann Copenhagen features a timeless silhouette and a captivating, pixelated surface made entirely from recycled plastic waste. A reinterpretation of the archetypal spherical pendant lamp, the Pix Lamp's recognizable, timeless silhouette is incorporated into its design, while its captivating surface derives its unique appearance from its composition of recycled plastic waste. Pix Lamp is not only an aesthetic design but also a resource-efficient one. To produce the lampshade, plastic waste in various shades of white is mixed and granulated before being heated to a melting point of 120°C, allowing the material to be reheated and reused at the end of its life without altering its properties. This unique process enables a circular life cycle and results in a design in which each lampshade has its own unique color composition. The thickness of the material makes Pix Lamp appear opaque when the light is turned off. When the light is switched on, the material's appearance changes, creating a translucent appearance, with the light from the bulb shining through and highlighting the grainy texture of the lampshade. Wherever Pix is placed, its simple design blends harmoniously into the surroundings, while its striking lampshade provides a cozy, charismatic light. It is available in four different sizes.
