Inspirations
OYOY is a living design label from Denmark and stands for Scandinavian home design with a focus on form, function, color and extremely high-quality materials.
The company is more than just a design brand. OYOY is designed for the modern family who wants to evoke childhood memories and create new ones. Their collections are rooted in Danish design tradition, which is why they emphasize simplicity. They represent a playful, yet simple and aesthetic approach to designing and creating the environment for the family's daily life.
The name OYOY has a rather unusual origin. OY has been the logo for the Faroe Islands (Denmark) since 1926 and can still be seen on all Danish aircraft worldwide. The two letters symbolize the Danish roots and the passion for Nordic design.
The brand is run by Lotte Fynboe, who realized her dream after graduating from the Danish Design School Teko in January 2012 and founded the design label OYOY. The young designer designs the majority of the products herself. Many ideas stem from her own childhood memories, inspired by classic Danish design with a slight Japanese influence. The result is a uniquely puristic, colorful mix. Products with heartfelt stories.
