This naturally beautiful Sprout Stone «GROWING PLATE grey» creates the opportunity for new life to grow and thrive in the ancient limestone. The collection from Swedish label Stenhuggardottern consists of various stone objects designed to generate growth energy. The growing stones are available in three different sizes, allowing you to cultivate your own cress year-round.
Simply scatter seeds of nasturtium, mustard, arugula, or other sprouting seeds (some need to be soaked beforehand) into the grooves of the seedling stone. Keep in mind that the seeds need a few millimeters of space between them to germinate. Water regularly with a spray bottle—three times a day is best at first. After a few weeks, it's time to harvest.
